General Membership Meeting Luncheon

Our General Membership Meetings are held at Epic Empowerment on the fourth THURSDAY of each month – see dates on our calendar (with the exception: November on the third Thursday and December will be the Third Wednesday because of the holidays.)

Open Networking is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – All guests and new members are accompanied by one of our friendly ambassadors to introduce you and connect you with others in the room. We pride ourselves with being extremely welcoming, inviting and NOT cliquish! 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. is the program/speaker and another great opportunity to network and enjoy your lunch.

Each month we have a great speaker/program; check out our calendar to see what we have going on. You are welcomed to attend!

Government Affairs & Transportation Forum

GATF Mission: Monitors local, state and federal issues that may impact the business community and our cities. Develop and take appropriate positions on key issues that affect the Chamber’s membership and communities. The Government Affairs and Transportation Forums meets quarterly around the West County region. It brings valuable and positive updates from our 8 cities, 4 police departments, 3 school districts, 2 fire districts, 1 college, MoDot, and State Representatives to educate our members & keeps the West County Chamber informed within the community and beyond.

Ribbon Cuttings

Ribbon Cuttings/Grand Openings are a great way to celebrate your business and create public awareness about your business. A ribbon cutting ceremony is also an opportunity to thank co-workers, friends, suppliers and other entities that have helped the company reach this point. A well organized event can permit senior managers to mingle and celebrate, rather than worry about details and snags.

What the Chamber does:

  • Sends out email reminders to Chamber membership, Ambassadors and Board Members to notify them of your Ribbon Cutting
  • Promotes the event in the Chamber Calendar available to all our Chamber members and the public
  • Provides giant scissors and ribbon to cut
  • Attends the Ribbon Cutting and takes photos of the event
  • Posts the photos on the Chamber Facebook page

What the Member Business does:

  • Coordinates date and time of the Ribbon Cutting with the Chamber. To avoid date and time conflicts, it’s best to set a date well in advance, four weeks is optimal.
  • We encourage you to schedule your Ribbon Cutting at 11:30am on Thursdays or 4:30pm during the week for best attendance, but we will always be open to what is convenient to you.
  • Hors d’oeuvres and beverages are usually served but it is your decision. Your plan can be as simple or elaborate as you like, whatever fits your budget.

To set up your ribbon cutting ceremony, contact Heather Zerweck at hzerweck@westcountychamber.com or call 636.230.9900.
