Committees
The Chamber offers many different groups and committees for members who would like to be more involved in planning events and getting involved with the community. Our committees include:
Ambassador Committee
Serves as official host and goodwill representative at various Chamber functions and special events. Welcomes new businesses that join the Chamber by attending ribbon-cutting ceremonies as well as mentoring new members by calling them. At the monthly General Membership Meetings, they welcome guests/new members, serves as the leader of the table networking and assists at check-in & set up.
Membership Committee
This committee works to spread the word about the many opportunities offered by the Chamber while recruiting new members and retaining current members. Those interested in being on the membership committee will go out into the community and promote, not only their business, but the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce.
Government Affairs & Transportation Committee
Monitor local, state and federal issues that may impact the business community and our cities. Develop and take appropriate positions on key issues that affect the Chamber’s membership and communities. The committee also promotes transportation solutions to help reduce current traffic congestion and encourage long term traffic planning.
Special Events Committee
Plans, organizes and conducts the various community event the Chamber hosts throughout the year. These committees helps organize and plan vital aspects of the event to make it a success, as well as promotes the event and volunteers the day of which is so much fun!
